We all know that everything eventually comes to an end. Although if you grow up as much of a Red Sox fan as Chuck Saftler did, you might not necessarily believe that truth as much as the average person does. His beloved Sawx went 86 years before they won the 2004 World Series–a fact that … Read more
I knew my days at FX were numbered when the head of HR took my side when my boss and I had a heated dispute over the accuracy of digital data that reached its peak when he exploded in rage through the paper thin walls of our mediocre new digs to a decibel level few … Read more
NOTE: This musing also appears today on our sister site THE DOUBLE OVERTIME. Please visit it regularly for coverage of sports of all sorts plus occasional essays on business and technology. I’ve never not liked Rosie O’Donnell, though I will confess there were times my relationship with her was more positive than others. I suppose I could legitimately claim to being a “content creator” just like so many far younger folk seem to similarly self-identify. After all, I’ve been doing this now for pretty much the lion’s share of 66 months and between this and our sister site THE DOUBLE OVERTIME have authored roughly 3000 of these musings. … Read more
